Methodology
The statistics on this page combine three data sources. First, public disclosures from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Perplexity, and xAI - earnings calls, official blogs, investor updates, and developer announcements through Q1 2026. Second, third-party measurement: Ahrefs (SERP studies), Similarweb (traffic), Sparktoro (search behavior), Gartner (enterprise adoption), and the Reuters Institute Digital News Report.
Third, Livesov’s own tracked-brand panel - 1,200+ brands across SaaS, e-commerce, healthcare, finance, legal, and travel, with continuous mention-rate, citation-share, and sentiment measurement across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, and Grok. Panel data is normalised against query category and refreshed daily.
Where ranges exist, we publish the midpoint. Where a number is an estimate (e.g. Grok usage where xAI does not disclose), we mark it as such. Every quarter, the entire page is re-baselined.
